CLIMAX TOWNSHIP

— Police are searching for a man who robbed a convenience store at gunpoint Tuesday night east of Kalamazoo and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash, authorities said. Kalamazoo County sheriff’s deputies responded to the armed robbery at 10:10 p.m. at the Village Take Out Store, 105 N. Main St., in Climax Township. Police described the suspect as a white male, 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a skinny build. He was armed with a dark-colored handgun and was last seen wearing a dark-colored hooded jacket, ski mask and gloves. Police ask anyone with information about the armed robbery to call the sheriff’s office at (269) 383-8821.
